Winter Quarter
This bookshow is a collaborative project by studio 400 who designed, fabricated, and installed multiple devices in order to create an immersive experience to for audiences to reach each student’s fallbook. The bookshow transformed the familiar interior of a room mostly used as pin-up space. Its design deploits multiple sensory experiences through light, fog, background music, and creates polarities in physical experiences that contradict expectations. The basic components consist two environments: a dark space filled up with fog and lights and seatings; a small room of wood construction with white interior finishes, furnitures, and books in display.
